David Nishijima is a leader in technology research and business development specializing in mobility and automotive innovation. He currently serves as Sr. Manager at Nissan Advanced Technology Center – Silicon Valley, where he leads global teams scouting emerging technologies, conducting PoCs, and advancing innovations into production. He has overseen more than 60 PoCs, with over ten deployed in production. His work supports executive innovation initiatives and cross-regional engineering collaboration across Japan, the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Previously, David helped establish the first Silicon Valley R&D centers for both Nissan and Toyota and has collaborated with startups, academia, and global industry partners throughout his career.
