David Smith is Product Marketing Manager, CSA IOS ToF at ams OSRAM, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, specializing in product marketing, market strategy, and business development.
David joined ams OSRAM in 2020 where he has applied his end-to-end expertise - from technical design and customer support to global marketing - to drive the commercial success of new products. He remains dedicated to bridging technological innovation with market needs and advancing the application and deployment of cutting-edge semiconductor solutions for global customers.
Before joining ams OSRAM, David worked as a Field Application Engineer at Arrow Electronics, then spent 18 years at Texas Instruments, rising from Field Sales Engineer to Business Development Manager for EMEA, and ultimately Marketing Manager for the MSP430 microcontroller line—gaining deep expertise in semiconductor technology, customer applications, and global strategy.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering information technology from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
