Hariharasudan Malaichamee
Engineering Manager
Bio:
Hari is an Engineering Manager specializing in robotics, embedded systems, controls, and autonomous-system development. He currently leads platform firmware engineering at Axon, where he works on embedded architectures for complex robotic systems that combine high-performance Linux processors, real-time microcontrollers, sensing, communication, actuation, and automated hardware validation.
His work focuses on building reusable platform architectures, improving deterministic system behavior, defining hardware-software boundaries, and developing hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure for distributed robotic systems. He is also exploring how multi-agent AI workflows can augment engineering validation through automated test planning, orchestration, fault injection, telemetry analysis, and regression triage while keeping execution grounded in deterministic test frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Hari led controls and localization engineering for autonomous robotic systems, working across robotic motion control, localization, navigation, system integration, and production deployment. His experience spans the development of complex electromechanical systems from early prototypes through production-oriented architectures where reliability, testability, and reuse become critical.
Hari holds a Master’s degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. He has contributed to technical publications in robotics and related engineering fields and has worked across multiple generations of autonomous and robotic systems.
