Bio:
John George has served with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and OFS, now rebranded to Lightera. He has led R&D projects, led a Solutions Engineering team, and is now focused on Business Development for Communications and Advanced Networks. Lightera (formerly OFS) designs, develops, and manufactures optical fiber, fiber optic cable, specialty fiber, and connectivity solutions in the U.S. and Globally. John has published in various forums, served on the Fiber Broadband Association’s Board of Directors for 8 years, and currently chairs the FBA Technology Committee. John resides in Cumming Georgia and reports into Lightera’s HQ and primary optical fiber manufacturing facility in Norcross, GA. John has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Science in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech and holds 10 patents.
