Bio:
Leigh Christie is co-founder of MistyWest, a Vancouver-based hardware and embedded systems engineering firm that helps companies turn hard technical problems into comercialized products. Over the years, Leigh has worked across sensing and connected-device projects in robotics, mining, industrial automation, logistics and IoT, with a particular focus on wireless technologies including BLE, UWB, Wifi, satelite and cellular. He helped create MistyVision, MistyWest’s AI-powered computer vision product line, from concept into real-world deployments. Today Leigh spends his time inventing: identifying problems that sensing can solve, prototyping new approaches, and working closely with customers in the field to refine them. Leigh also created the HardTech Awards, and the Founders & Friends event series.
