Yuko Ishiwaka

Bio:
Dr. Yuko Ishiwaka is a senior research scientist in the PS Solution Advanced Technology Lab, Hakodate, at SoftBank Corp., Japan. She holds a Ph.D., and her research spans artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning, robotics, signal/image/video processing, and human-computer interaction.
Her research works are autonomous systems, computer graphics, neuroscience and agriculture specifically for fish farming and fish quality standardization. Before joining SoftBank, Dr. Ishiwaka served as a researcher and assistant professor (assoc. professor level) in Japanese academic institutions, and has extensive experience in fundamental and applied research.
She has authored/co-authored many publications (over 30), contributing to fields including multimedia algorithms, reinforcement learning, signal and image processing, as well as synthetic data generation.
