Live Theater Session: The Edge Continuum: Where AI Belongs from Sensor to Cloud
Session details:
As AI moves from centralized cloud environments into real-world systems, one of the most critical—and least understood—questions is: where should intelligence actually live?
In this fireside chat, we’ll explore the emerging “edge continuum,” where AI is increasingly distributed across sensors, devices, gateways, private edge, operator infrastructure, and cloud platforms. Rather than focusing on models or silicon alone, this discussion will take a systems-level view of how these layers work together in practice.
Through real-world scenarios, we’ll examine the key tradeoffs that shape deployment decisions, including latency, bandwidth, cost, power, resilience, privacy, and connectivity. We’ll also touch on how distributed infrastructure is evolving toward an “AI Grid” model—and what that means for future system design.
Attendees will leave with a clearer framework for determining where AI should run across the stack, and how to architect solutions that balance performance with real-world constraints.
