Workshop: Leveraging the Adaptive Self-Configuration Features of ST’s High-G IMU (separate registration required)

Thu, May 7 | 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM
Great America 2

Session details:

Who Should Attend: This workshop is for engineers who want to quickly prototype sensor-based applications and rapidly deploy a proof-of-concept for data acquisition and motion event detection

Cost: $30 (requires advance purchase and covers dev board, dev kit and Mini-B USB cable)

This workshop focuses on the ISM6HG256X high-g IMU embedded in the X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1 expansion board, which includes motion and environmental MEMS sensors for industrial applications.

The ISM6HG256X features a 3-axis digital low-g accelerometer at 16 g, a 3-axis digital high-g accelerometer at 256 g, and a 3-axis digital gyroscope.

The ISM6HG256X enables edge computing, leveraging embedded advanced dedicated features such as a finite state machine (FSM) for configurable motion tracking and a machine learning core (MLC) for context awareness with exportable AI features for IoT applications.

ISM6HG256X supports the adaptive self-configuration (ASC) feature, which allows automatically reconfiguring the device in real time based on the detection of a specific motion pattern or based on the output of a specific decision tree configured in the MLC, without any intervention from the host processor.

During the workshop we will demonstrate the Finite State Machine (FSM) and the Adaptive Self-Configuration (ASC) features to implement algorithms to automatically change power modes based on detected conditions.
