Bio:
Steve Chen is a seasoned business and technology leader with over 18 years of experience at the intersection of AI, machine vision, and intelligent sensing systems. He currently serves as Senior Sales Manager and Business Development lead at Himax, where he drives global adoption of ultralow-power edge AI solutions for applications spanning automotive, security, robotics, AR/VR, medical devices, and AI PCs.
Steve brings a unique blend of technical depth and commercial leadership, with expertise across camera sensors, AI processors, embedded systems, and algorithm-driven platforms. Prior to Himax, he held senior leadership roles at Tobii, where he led sales and business development across Asia-Pacific, achieving significant revenue growth and securing key design wins with leading global OEMs including Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, and Dell.
Earlier in his career, Steve founded a hardware startup focused on IoT-enabled smart devices and held engineering and product leadership roles developing embedded systems for healthcare and industrial applications. His global experience across the U.S., Taiwan, and China enables him to bridge ecosystems and bring innovative sensing technologies to market at scale.
Steve holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and is passionate about advancing the next generation of edge AI and always-on sensing technologies.
