Peter Walther is a veteran technology executive with over 40 years of global experience across engineering, sales, marketing, and executive leadership. Originally from Germany, he brings a deep understanding of both the European and Silicon Valley tech landscapes. His career spans key sectors including wireless communications, Industrial IoT, FinTech, SaaS, big data, and AI.
Currently, Peter serves as VP of Operations & Finance at Big Data Federation, and Executive Manager at Azbil North America R&D, where he leads Scouting & Innovations in Industrial Automation and AI. He also presides over the The World of Connected AI, a nonprofit advancing innovation in connected technologies.
Peter has held leadership roles at Siemens, Motorola, Marvell, Intel, Lucent, and debis (Daimler Benz InterServices). With holding a M.S.E.E. degree and several patents to his name, he is recognized for driving technical innovation. Active in both U.S. and European tech communities, Peter is a frequent contributor to industry dialogues on connected AI, wireless systems, and digital tranformation.
