Autotech Council Meeting: Innovation Review on LiDAR & AI Perception

Autotech Council members include carmakers, T1 vendors, the autotech supply chain and mobility investors. We meet regularly in Silicon Valley to review startups and new technologies, and this month we meet at Sensors Converge to review startups working at the intersection of LiDAR and AI in perception for mobility.

Today’s agenda introduces experts, startups, and technology companies who are at the cutting edge of computer vision for automotive. 

Innovation in LiDAR is not only focused on accuracy, resolution, speed, range, cost, and size of the hardware. Applying AI and edge processing to sensor data can improve performance and add capabilities to traditional LiDAR. The current wave of innovation in LiDAR is around AI and perception solutions. 

There is a lot of new technology to discover, and new companies, putting LiDAR to work across mobility and transportation.
