Wireless for Wearables - Double the Distance and Half the Power
Session details:
The wireless performance of sensors is pivotable in enabling remote monitoring, sensor data analytics, live AI analysis and real-time responses to alerts. There is a broad spectrum of real-world applications where the wireless performance needs to be robust, reliable and ubiquitous, including wearables, remote health monitoring, sport player tracking, industrial safety and smart connected devices. One of the biggest challenges, is having wireless performance that enables ease of deployment and sensor installation in any connected environment. Off-the-shelf wireless solutions have been providing sub-optimal performance and haven’t been able to meet the performance requirements of new and exciting next generation capability and emerging applications. One of the most challenging platforms for sensor deployment is for wearables, where the sensors are close fitted to a challenging dynamic platform such as the human body (biological tissue). With a new approach, this session demonstrates that the wireless performance and efficient power management won’t be the single point of failure in the connected sensor ecosystem, setting the foundation for new capabilities in wireless connectivity, with 'Double the distance and half the power'
