Smart sensors and sensor networks are used everywhere in Internet of Things (IoT) applications and provide real-time data and status of real-world monitoring and control to improve reliability and resilience of IoT applications. Smart sensor measurement accuracy, data interoperability, and cybersecurity are major challenges for IoT applications. Adoption of standards can facilitate to achieve sensor data cybersecurity and interoperability for IoT applications. Smart sensor testing is a solution to overcome these challenges mentioned above.
